The Special Issue of Selected Papers from the Financial and Economic Review Series Now Published in Chinese
Budapest, 4 March 2026 – The latest Chinese-language issue of our journal contains some of the most-read articles from the previous year.
The Financial and Economic Review published by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (the Central Bank of Hungary, MNB), has released a new special issue comprising selected papers in Chinese for 2026. The publication aims to share the most important results of Hungarian economic thought with one of the world’s most dynamic scientific communities.
The selection brings together the journal's most popular and professionally influential articles from the past year. A key consideration in editing the volume was to include contributions from renowned international experts – such as Willem H. Buiter, Alicia Garcia Herrero, Ronald W. Anderson, and EBRD staff – alongside fresh perspectives of the younger generation of researchers, reflecting the diversity of our journal and Hungarian economics.
The articles in the collection deal with the seven most important current issues in central bank policy, China's medium-term prospects in light of Japan's economic history, the expected future outlook of China's unique development, the accession bonus related to the 20th anniversary of accession to the European Union, the relationship between inflation and inflation uncertainty, and the increased strategic role of rare earths.
Beyond the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the publication provides an effective platform for deeper professional dialogue between Hungarian and Chinese academic and economic diplomacy spheres, in line with the strategy of “Opening up to the East”.
The papers in the Chinese-language issue are available on the website of the Financial and Economic Review.
We wish you a very pleasant reading.
