Absztrakt:
Az elmúlt évtized hektikus gazdasági változásai és az azt követő szabályozási szigor jelentős és negatív hatással voltak a banki szolgáltatók működésére. Jövedelmezőségük csökkenését, ügyfeleikkel elveszített bizalmi viszonyukat, valamint versenypozíciójukat olyan eszköztárral próbálták helyreállítani, mely társadalmilag felelős intézményként jelenítette meg a bankokat a pénz- és tőkepiacon, létrehozva többek közt a felelős bank, zöld bank, etikus bank fogalmakat. Ám hogy ez a társadalmi felelősség felvállalását előtérbe állító, hirtelen válaszreakció valójában milyen mértékű, és hogyan hat a bankok teljesítményére hosszú távon, nehezen mérhető. A cikkben feltérképezzük a pénzügyi szektorra vonatkozó értékelési és mérési módszertanokat, és a magyar bankszektor hét domináns piaci szereplőjének mintáján megvizsgáljuk, milyen kapcsolat van a bankok társadalmi felelősségvállalása, működésbe integrálása és pénzügyi teljesítménye között a 2006–2013-as időszakban.
